Our mission

In a hustle-culture forward world that rewards burnout, the Slowdown Summit is challenging the status quo. We believe that leadership is not  “one-size-fits-all” and that spaces should and can meet every mind where they are.

Our 2026 theme, “Redefine Leadership,” champions a more inclusive vision for professional development. We aim to honor quiet strengths, thoughtful contributions, and the full spectrum of how leaders show up.

Join us at our inaugural Summit to learn how to grow, leverage and strengthen your natural superpowers in order to become a stronger professional and a more confident individual.

At the Slowdown Summit, every element is crafted to support meaningful interaction. You can expect guided discussions, balanced social spaces, and opportunities to connect without pressure or performance. It’s a space for thoughtful leaders, creatives, and professionals who value substance over spectacle.

What you can expect

Leadership development designed for all learning styles and neurodiversity

Physical spaces designed for overstimulation and understimulation

Structured networking, intentional conversation, meaningful connections

Our policies exist to protect the conditions that foster inclusivity, creativity, and a curiosity-first environment. Our first priority is to create a community where people feel grounded, supported, and capable of the deep work and meaningful connection the Summit is designed to inspire.

These guidelines will be shared with all attendees prior to the event and are woven directly into the structure of the Summit itself. They ensure everyone can participate fully without the social pressure, overstimulation, or ambiguity common at traditional conferences.

Policies

Our event is intentionally designed for psychological safety. As a result, we expect all participants to contribute to an environment where everyone feels welcome, seen, and able to show up authentically.

By attending, you agree to:

  • Treat all participants with dignity, kindness, and with a curiosity-first mindset.

  • Ask before engaging in physical contact or personal questions.

  • Listen generously and speak from personal experience.

  • Avoid harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior of any kind.

  • Step out, ground yourself, or seek support if you feel overwhelmed.

We are a community that looks out for one another. Violation of this Code may result in removal from the event.

Code of conduct

The Slowdown Summit is built on the belief that people do their best work when they feel safe: emotionally, physically, and psychologically. We take your safety and wellbeing seriously and ask all attendees to do the same.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Trained staff and volunteers available throughout the venue.

  • Quiet rooms, grounding zones, and rest spaces always open.

  • Clear signage, accessible pathways, and ADA-aware design.

  • A dedicated support team for any concerns, including health or accessibility needs.

  • Immediate response to any unsafe or uncomfortable situation.

If at any point you feel unsafe during the event or simply need a moment, you are encouraged to step away, no explanation required.

Safety first

Safety from the start

The Slowdown Summit is a community built on respect, curiosity, and consent

From the moment you arrive, you’ll notice that our event design, session flow, and physical spaces all reflect a commitment to psychological and physical safety, gentle pacing, and mutual respect.
